Everybody adores reading about their sign of the zodiac. There are few things more pleasurable than dwelling on oneself.
Well, the good bits.
When the astrological profile focuses on issues, shortcomings and lessons, suddenly it becomes less interesting.
In fact, many people read only the good parts and ignore the rest.
This is too bad, because however pleasant it is to dwell on those admirable character traits, it doesn’t achieve much.
Reading about challenges may not be a pleasant pastime.
But there’s so much to be learned, and a huge amount of personal power, to be …

I was about to wish all you Libras a Happy Birthday – when I realized that some of you may not be entirely sure whether or not you’re a Virgo or a Libra.
Until he began working for me, my fabulous assistant, Will, thought he was a Virgo. But once I did his individual birth chart, he discovered he had another identity – he’s a Libra.
This same dilemma occurs for anybody born on what’s often termed the “cusp” of a sign. The confusion is the result of the range of dates given …

If you haven’t seen the movie trailer for “2012″…please…by all means…do so. It has the promise of being a good action flick.
And, while you’re on the official movie site, www.whowillsurvive2012.com, be sure to follow the links to www.thisistheend.com and www.instituteforhumancontinuity.com.
On these “spoof sites”, Woody Harrelson (who played the dumb bartender, Woody Boyd, on the legendary hit TV show Cheers) now plays a character named Charlie Frost – a self proclaimed Apocalyptic Prognosticator. Both sites were launched as a viral marketing campaign for the movie, due out November 13.
As spoofs go…it’s …

Saturn, Uranus and Optimism
Sun in Virgo, Moon in Leo
Over the past weeks, I’ve heard from people all over the world who’re feeling demoralized, anxious about the chaos in so many areas of life.
Unsettling as events are, understanding the nature of what’s taking place is the first step to exchanging anxiety for optimism.
What’s more, because knowledge is power, knowing what’s behind the changes currently unfolding casts the future in positive light. This clarity makes both planning and action far more possible.
These unsettling changes are being ushered in by a single, powerful, …

Remembering – Patrick Swayze
After a long battle with pancreatic cancer, wonderful actor, dancer and singer-songwriter Patrick Swayze has died.
2009 was a transition cycle for Patrick. Having just celebrated his 57th Birthday on August 18, Swayze was in a 1 Personal Year and 1 Personal Month in September 2009 – meaning he was starting a brand new 9-year cycle.
So often major life transitions occur when you pass from one 9-year cycle into the next.
Yesterday was a 42/6 Personal Day for Swayze. This is a beautiful number of love, responsibility, home, family, and …

In my post, “2012; The 5 W’s and One H” (Part One), I approach the matter of 2012 from the perspective of working as one to manifest the positive energy needed to combat the growing fear and negativity surrounding the subject and help the world make the transition through the global shift an easy one.
Now that mainstream media has latched onto 2012 as an attention grabber and money maker, there is more reason than ever to stay mindful of creating and releasing all the love we can. Equally important is …

Finally the big day has arrived – 09.09.09. It’s a major day of endings and beginnings, letting go and starting fresh.
Add the fact the 2009 adds up to 11, and this date becomes even more significant. 11 looks like a doorway, and literally represents walking through a gateway into the unknown. This is exactly what we do when we release our past and begin anew.
It can be a scary time for some, but doesn’t have to be this way. Just remember, you are being asked to change, change and change …

Mercury Retrograde
Mercury is a very small planet.
But it gets blamed for some very big problems.
And the doom and gloomers have been working overtime lately.
During the past week I’ve received panicked messages from those who’re concerned about the havoc Mercury’s retrograde cycle would cause.
First, I’ll explain exactly what the little planet of communication is up to – and what retrograde actually means.
And, then, I’ll tell you what to expect, what not to – and which worries have nothing at all to do with the …

When I talk about animal totems, I classify different kinds of totems according to the elemental environment in which they live: Land, Air, Water. There also solar animals who fall under the elemental Fire category and lunar animals too. I’ll elaborate on these at the end of this article.
This classification system is handy because the power of animal totems is both in the animal and its natural environment.
This class system also serves as a guideline when we want to align ourselves with totem animals to assist with specific navigation on …

Blog Monday August 31, Sun in Virgo, Moon in Capricorn
Astrologers read news stories with a different perspective than the rest of the world.
Where everybody else sees only the events and the figures involved, we see the signature of one particular planet.
In the fascinating story of Serena Williams’ comeback – after an almighty freefall from the tennis stratosphere to being ranked 140th in the world – it’s all about Pluto, the planet of truth, transformation – and comebacks.
Most are familiar with the Williams sisters’ amazing saga of being raised by parents …
