Colette’s Halloween Happenings: Art So Amazing…It’s Scary! (Part Two)
In , “Colette’s Halloween Happenings: Art So Amazing…It’s Scary! (Part One)“, I discussed The Quantum Theory as it relates to art and artist. I cited deviantART as the largest “laboratory” in existence for testing of this subject matter.
As stated in “Colette’s Halloween Happenings: Art So Amazing…It’s Scary! (Part One) “, deviantART did not start out as a mega-funded commercial site but, rather, as a passion project which grew organically. That fact seems to consternate some and deviantART has been dealt out some criticism by those who feel deviantART should be more far more choosey in the “level“ of artist and art they allow to post on the site.
In an interview from www.redefinemag.com Angelo Sotiro, co-founder and current CEO of deviantART, responded beautifully to that very query from the interviewer;
Jeanette Liang of redefine asks, “DeviantArt allows anyone to post their artwork. Do you feel that takes away from the site’s level of professionalism“?
Angleo Sotiro; “Oh no, there is a little bit of artist in anybody, so we embrace the artist. The mentoring aspects are a very important part in that. The system is designed in such a way where everyone gets to go on the front page, and then we have filtering systems so the more people react to your artwork, the more that it filters up. So, if you want to come to see just the best stuff, you just browse top favorites. But there’s a community of people who just love to see the real raw reaction to the world every single day. That’s what DeviantArt is. There is one submission every 2 to 3 seconds. DeviantArt was alive and thriving during the September 11th attacks; you should see the reaction by the artistic community during those days. It’s a live vehicle for artists to explain the world around them every day of the year. And if you look at it in a different perspective, 13 million pieces of art in the past 5 years is an artistic documentation of a history of art online. That’s absolutely an incredible thing. It’s timely, and you can see it day by day. I don’t think anybody else can say that. Galleries are rarely time stamped. We are actually preserving history in a great way“.
So what is it about art that speaks to us?
Is the symbolic language inherent in visual art more powerful than the limitations of spoken or written language?
And, are there limitations in spoken or written language?
The answer, I think, lies, partially, in the Carl Jung quote I led with in Part One of this post;
“The artist is not a person endowed with free will who seeks his own ends, but one who allows art to realize its purposes through him. As a human being he may have moods and a will and personal aims, but as an artist he is “man” in a higher sense – he is “collective man,” a vehicle and moulder of the unconscious psychic life of mankind.” “Psychology and Literature“, 1930 -Carl Jung
Again, everything we see, think or feel is embedded in our soul, cells, DNA… perceptions permeate all.
In that process we are evolving in Planck time (the smallest measurement of time that has any meaning).
All pretty heady stuff…maybe…but the rest of the answer is actually quite simple.
In my book “Messages From Spirit”, chapter 16 outlines and defines The 27 Universal Unfoldments. These are the 27 archetypes and influences of the human experience that unfold from birth to death. The images are universal.
And, so, the Oracle message of The Artist is the final portion of our answer;
“Spirit is the true essence behind every moment of your experience; everything you accomplish is the result of co-creating with the Divine“. Messages From Spirit - Colette Baron-Reid (pg 215)
By definition, then, we are all Artists whose job…whose journey quest…is to recognize the creative God-force within and co-create as many written, oral and visual works of art as we can, both sophisticated and un with no creation being any more important or worthy than the next.

deviantART just confirms what we know, but don’t hear much of in this worldly system of things, (except on CBR’s site, of course! LOL) which is that we are ALL in this TOGETHER, and we are ALL equal! We are all special and have something to share. Wooohooo! Embrace each other and start the day with a holler! “How will WE co-create with Spirit, today!” Yahoo!
Thanks CBR!

www.shelleyvonstrunckel.comThis is no time to make decisions solo. You may be confident you know enough to deal with details wisely. However, only once you begin discussing plans with others will you realise just how much better informed they are. Enough that, had you continued as you'd intended, you'd have caused yourself serious problems. By Shelley von Strunckel
Compassion is a virtue. But sometimes your instinct to extend your hand in assistance to another encounters practical problems. If that's the case now, discuss your plans frankly and openly with them. This may mean you can't surprise them, as you'd hoped. But it also means you'll provide what they actually need. By Shelley von Strunckel
Often you're fascinated how others can happily ignore intriguing ideas or offers, ones you know they'd enjoy pursuing. But when you suggested they investigate these previously, they politely but firmly said to mind your own business. Nevertheless, this time's different. They're feeling inquisitive, and will recognise the value of what you recommend instantly. By Shelley von Strunckel
Listen carefully to others' ideas, even if they seem unrealistic. While, ultimately, their plans may be as impractical as you first thought, once you've heard more and had a chance to reflect, you're likely to view things differently. The odds are good, in fact, that you'll begin to regard their concepts as sheer genius. By Shelley von Strunckel
You're under pressure to come up with solutions for several problems, some very tricky indeed. Tell those concerned they'll just have to wait until inspiration hits. Which is likely to be early next week, when your ruler the Sun encounters the intuitive Neptune, triggering remarkable insights and ideas as stunning as they are unexpected. By Shelley von Strunckel
It's rare that you're caught without facts to back up what you're saying or encouraging others to do. But you're so confident about these that you haven't armed yourself with enough information. Gather what you'll need now, since those involved are intrigued, but still want to be won over by your impressive knowledge. By Shelley von Strunckel
Few things annoy you more than those who insist they needn't justify their thinking, but simply demand a variety of blind loyalty. The only problem is, most everybody is going along with them, which makes it difficult for you to object. Instead, express your concerns. Then bide your time. Soon you'll be proved right. By Shelley von Strunckel
Serious clashes could begin with minor disagreements. Bear this in mind and, unless you feel the only way you can make a point is by confronting others directly, back off before things become so intense they're out of hand. Discussions can wait until everybody is in a good enough mood that conversations will be civilised. By Shelley von Strunckel
It was only weeks ago that your ruler Jupiter moved to accent the structure of your life. But events are already reshaping both your objectives and the actual situations you're dealing with. Make whatever decisions you think wise, but because changes continue, regard these as the first of many versions of plans. By Shelley von Strunckel
Perplexing as the difficulties you're currently facing seem, they're an invitation to explore new and, perhaps, unfamiliar options. Previously you avoided these because they appeared impractical or, which is more likely, they intimidated you. Now, what you learn from them could end battles that have been as lengthy as they've been draining. By Shelley von Strunckel
Giving up on plans you've worked hard to organise may feel like a real defeat. However, once you start to consider the actual circumstances involved, you'll realise that those plans no longer make sense. Thus, you're better off reviewing them and, at minimum, making improvements. However, you might just decide it's better to begin again. By Shelley von Strunckel
With both your acute powers of observation and your remarkable instincts, you usually make decisions easily. But one or two are seriously perplexing. That's because they involve elements of your nature that are in transition. Be patient. By this weekend's encounter between the Sun and your ruler Neptune, things will be crystal clear.
