Dear Colette,

Yes, the blog-article on psychometry was helpful. It reminded me of an exercise I did in Sedona with a stranger. During the exercise we each held something that belonged to the other and quietly “meditated”. We then shared what images, smells, feelings, or other senses came to us. It was remarkable because we knew virtually nothing about each other prior to this exercise, yet we each seemed to pick up accurate details about the other persons life.

In closing, I love your suggestion for readers to try psychometry when picking out cards during readings for ourselves and others. Brilliant!!

Wow! I got my first set of oracle cards two years ago and this is the way that I naturally selected my cards. I called it “hovering” as I feel a sense of weight on my hands pulling down to the cards drawn to me. Now I put the deck up to my brow chakra to “see” the card.

This absolutely works. Taking the time with the cards helps you tune in to what is going on. I did this years ago with Tarot and had some amazing experiences with it.

Thank you so much for this article! Although I was aware of psychics using objects to tune in to their subjects, this is the first I’ve heard the term psychometry.

I had a relevant experience in Delphi last fall. While visiting the Sanctuary of Apollo, I felt strong vibrations from the Omphalos. I went back several times to ‘test’ my reaction and each time I felt sensations in my hands that ranged from throbbing to tingling. This was one of several experiences I had in Delphi that confirmed my belief that I had lived there during the time of the oracles. This trip, by the way, was inspired by your article on oracle cookies.

Your books and your oracle cards have been instrumental in keeping me ‘on track’. Many thanks for all that you do!

It’s amazing, the psychometry! I have definitely used it on a number of occasions with accuracy. I love to use it particularly when buying gifts-its spot on every time. People love to “feel” – it breathes life and purpose!!

Thank you for sharing this. I have been using this technique for a very long time now and didn’t realize that it was psychometry. I just always felt a shift, its a warm tingly sensation for me. I even use it on the computer here when I pull cards from your deck. Interesting stuff. I will have to delve into this further to see if I can actually pick up information from other people’s things now. I cannot wait for your next blog.
