Had a flock of Canadian Geese fly over my head (almost literally, 4 feet over my head) in full V formation. It was beautiful, and as a Canadian in the US it was extra special *wink*

Anyways I looked up the totem mean of this bird and here it is. " It teaches us well that when we are in tune with our own inner rhythms we know when to lead, and when to follow. Thus, leadership, instead of being either an exclusive privilege or a burden, is a shared opportunity." It also speaks of traveling great distances and being in tune with different life cycles ...All good stuff. :)

A black bird flew between 2 friends last week and clearly said "why" to them....they are wondering what that could mean.

I have grown so from your book Messages from Spirit and your Avalon cards. How do I find my bird totem? There are some more specific birds that are not in the book. My mother loved birds and fed them to draw them in. She had a Cardinal that would eat from her hand. She passed in 1987. The other day (for the first time in many years) her (I say that b/c she called them mine) yellow finches came back. There were 3 of them and they sang a beautiful song. Is there a specific meaning to this type of bird, other than my feeling of a message from mama?

Thank you, I love you so

I really enjoyed this article but I do have one question. My bird totem is the roadrunner. I have since childhood loved watching these amazing birds and their fantastic speed. Since roadrunners rarely fly, when they do it is very close to the earth, I would be interested in knowing their significance and how they fit into the explanation of the bird totems you gave.

Thank you
