I have a special relationship with the deer and for the past 15 years with the white deer. They started coming into my paintings and then my life. The deer teaches me on a spiritual level. Other animals are also important but each represents a different aspect of who I am and what I am becoming. Cat(all kinds),Raven, Fox and Coyote each have something to say. The horse,(my Chinese animal) used to be more present than now. I believe animals teach us what we need in our life to balance with our environment and for each period of life different animals arrive. Hello, Nice article! It is most interesting when I look at my own group of three core totem animals and realized they all belong to the same element. This deepens their meaning and connection even more.
