As usual, I love your storytelling.

I love that this myth reminds us that love does have ups and downs, and doesn’t necessarily run smooth. In fact, that is why we value it.

(Also, kinda encapsulates the biggest secret that I don’t tell me friends. The secret is that after being with my spouse for 12 years, we really are more in love than ever, mostly because of the huge bumps we’ve encountered and the daily grind. We must choose over and over to take those actions that prove that we really do love each other.)

Oh I so enjoyed this telling of the myth of Cupid and Psyche! I found myself drawn in by the humor -ut also the succinct method of telling what can be something extremely drawn out tale really was effective and engaging.

See…my birthday is Valentines Day…and I always felt I was the Queen of love. Even though most of the time I didn’t have romantic love. I had never heard of this story. I did know that Venus was Cupids mother. I keep hoping for my true love to come. Maybe soon?
