The Institute of Heartmath and Heart Based Living
“To put the world in order, we must first put the nation in order; to put the nation in order, we must put the family in order; to put the family in order, we must cultivate our personal life; and to cultivate our personal life, we must first set our hearts right.”
—Confucius, 551-479 BC
A good deal of my time is spent examining the most current and cutting edge material pertaining to the correlation between science and spirituality.
There is only one reason for my constant research.
I’m committed to facilitating the merging of all humanity with The One, so we can, all, get to that perfect place sooner rather than later.
And, so, I must, also, be committed to the advancement of spirituality. There is no other way.
One of the ways I accomplish this is by teaching and I have several different outlets for that.
Of course I teach in person at my seminars and in writing via my books and blog. My CD’s are, also, tools for education and spiritual development.
But the most important and effective mechanism I have available to me as a mentor is my intuitive abilities.
When Spirit delivers a message and I am the particular vehicle used to deliver that message it is incumbent upon me to do everything within my power to be as capable vehicle as possible.
This means, learning, understanding and applying every technique I can ferret out which will allow me to expand and strengthen my abilities.
One of the resources I most utilize is The Institute of HeartMath.
In their groundbreaking studies, the team at HeartMath has become internationally recognized for their research and education initiatives.
They coined the phrase “Heart-Based Living” and define it as ” people relying on the intelligence of their hearts in concert with their minds to conduct their lives at home, school, work and play”.
Their main focus is development, testing and distribution of learning programs for schools. HeartMath’s two programs, TestEdge and HeartSmarts have yielded dramatic improvements in student’s academic performance, reduction of stress levels and anxiety. As one might imagine, better overall attitudes and behaviors were also observed and recorded.
Though these things are the institute’s main focus, their special initiatives are especially helpful and intriguing to me.
Because the study and data are so incredibly important I call attention to The Global Coherence Initiative in several different posts and have a full post dedicated to it.
I urge you to make the time to read the posts in their entirety as the why’s and wherefore’s of the initiative offer compelling evidentiary proof we are all connected.
“Science and 2012 (Part Three)“
In HeartMath’s mission of “Heart-Based Living” they are researching “Emotional Energetics“.
Now, we know that the heart produces and emits a very powerful electromagnetic field which can be measured by different instrumentation and at distances of several feet away from the subject. And the field changes dependent upon which emotion the subject is experiencing at the time of recording.
Those electromagnetic changes have been proven to register in people’s brains (when in close proximity) and have been found to affect cells, water and DNA studied in vitro (the technique of performing a given procedure in a controlled environment outside of a living organism).
What all this means is:
“People may be able to affect their environment in ways not previously understood and such “energetic” interactions may be prominently influenced by our emotions. Growing evidence also suggests energetic interactions involving the heart may underlie intuition and important aspects of human consciousness”. www.heartmath.org
The pop culture term for this is “manifesting”…but, as you can see, the actual science of the matter is far deeper than what the “catch phrase” has come to mean.
HeartMath also has an entire initiative devoted to Intuition Research.
Certainly man has been studying the “unknowable” for centuries but now there is hard proof of the real…measurable…actuality of such.
Without going into a dissertation, suffice it to say that the heart and brain (though primarily the heart) is “involved in the processing and decoding of intuitive information”.
Meaning, the heart’s electromagnetic field reacts to stimuli prior to a happening or event.
Furthermore, it appears as though the heart (and brain) are constantly “scanning” the future.
So, as I learn more about how all the psychopysiological works in conjunction with intuition, I apply the techniques thereby living a more “H
eartBased” existence which allows my intuitive abilities to amplify.
Every day I encourage people to develop their own intuition.
And now you have scientific proof your body was specifically designed for such.
Work on making Heart-Based living your personal paradigm.
The more open you are to “Messages From Spirit” the closer you are to God.
The closer we all get to God, the closer we are to being one.

Great article. I do enjoy science! This really resonated with me: “They coined the phrase “Heart-Based Living” and define it as people relying on the intelligence of their hearts in concert with their minds to conduct their lives at home, school, work and play.” I’ve been of out balance lately. I went from one extreme to other in a certain area of my life. Thank goodness I received a “wake up” call. It’s time for me to use BOTH my mind and heart and not just one over the other.
