Want a Roadmap to Your Ultimate Destiny? Tap Into the Power of Synchronicity!
We’ve all had those uncanny coincidences at times. You think of someone for the first time in years and then run into her hours later. You hear people say the same seemingly random phrase three times in one day, and that phrase directly relates to a problem you’ve been struggling with. While in Trader Joes you run into the guy you dated several years ago while you both lived on the other side of the country. A friend gives you the same book that your coworker recommended to you the day before.
While at first it’s easy to shrug off such mysterious events as eerie coincidences, they’re far more powerful than many of us realize. These synchronicities are meaningful coincidences that your soul attracts into your life to help you grow and evolve.
Synchronicities are confirmation of your limitless connection with Spirit and the world around you. Imagine each of us has a unique living map of fate and destiny. You have your own unique path and, just like a road map, your path crosses with other paths. The moment of intersection is where coincidence becomes meaningful, and synchronicities are the signs that help guide you to your ultimate destiny. When you pay attention and intuitively take advantage of synchronistic events, life becomes easier and more purposeful.
I share many examples of synchronicities Remembering the Future, but here’s an example of a recent synchronicity in my life. During one week a few months ago, I did readings with three different clients who all had children with the same kind of outer spectrum autism. As you can probably imagine, each client was very frustrated with his/her child’s diagnosis. I’m not very familiar with autism and finished each reading wishing I could offer each of them more guidance about their child. Later in the week, I heard from a popular book editor I’d emailed over a year prior to see if she had space to work with me. She apologized for not getting back to me and said she now had time to take on another client. Just the day before I received her email, I’d decided it was time to hire a new editor and received a message from Spirit to pay attention. As you may remember, I shared this story in my All Creatures Great and Small blog. But, in addition to the synchronicity of hearing from her just as I decided to hire a new editor, during our first conversation she mentioned that she had written an award-winning book about sensory integration disorder, which was just what all three of my clients’ children had been struggling with. Because of that synchronicity, I was able to contact my clients and give them more guidance and solutions.
Exercise:
Synchronicities are happening all the time. You just have to open your eyes and trust. As you notice more synchronicities, more and more will happen in your life. So, this week, I’d like you to start recording synchronicities in a journal. Take note of even small coincidences such as thinking about having a peanut butter sandwich only to discover your coworker eating one an hour later.
And, meditate! Meditation helps you connect with your intuition and, in turn, helps you tap into the All That Is, where synchronicities abound.

Okay!!! Holy Moly, all the cards I pulled today had to do with watching and paying attention to, “messages, omens and synchronicities”! Then I get on the computer and this is my first e-mail to open!!! Now if thats not the divine screaming at me I don’t know what is LOL!!!

Thank you for the words of inspiration about synchronicity! I have had several in my lifetime and I wish now I had written them down, but I will for sure write them in my journal starting now!! And Yes, yes, yes!!!Meditation is so important! I meditate all the time. and it does help me to connect with all that is! One synchronicity that happened to me several times is thinking about someone I haven’t heard from in a while and they call me out of the blue! Another synchronicity was that my husband and I kept connecting before we were married. The first time we met, a friend introduced us, we dated, then drifted apart, only to run into each other in the most odd places! After 20 years of this he proposed!! We are happy and I know this was spirit telling us, that we were meant to be together!!! Thanks for your helpful meditations, Colette!!
well, I was thinking about someone…driving I paid attention to car’s plate number in from of me and it was CUTIE how this person calls me. So amazing!!! The car wasn’t cute, but I believe it was a message from Spirit letting me know this person was thinking about me. I am reading the Power of Now and in the last 10 days people have mentioned the book, author or I have seen people reading the book more than 20 times. I believe there is a message here for me. I keep thinking about the future and I have to embrace the present and enjoy its gifts. I am sure there is a huge message for me which is unfolding….I will share later
I have been keeping a journal of synchronicities for a few years now. However, I am still frustrated as far as interpreting their meaning. I have had some mind blowing coincidences (such as meeting a man on a plane and feeling drawn to him and then months later meeting him again via a coincidence online). I still have yet to figure out why that was and what lesson I was supposed to learn.
Why, for instance, when looking for a particular job did I receive all kinds of coincidences pointing me to a particular job when in fact I never was offered that job? I have some coincidences that have resulted in what they plainy seemed to “point” to and yet just as many that seem to have resulted in a dead end.
I would like an explanation of that, if possible, if anyone can shed some light! Thanks.
Thanks for sharing this message. I am aware for synchronicities on a daily basis in my life and get the joy out of them. Even when life tends to be a struggle, I know there is a deeper message.
What prompted me to write this is the synchronicity I felt I had in a dream just this morning. It never occurred to me to fully pay attention to these as well. Let me explain.
I recently had a break up with a boyfriend of 2 years. It was not the best relationship emotionally. It’s been a little over 2 months now and the anger, grief, loss, etc., is growing less. In this dream, it was nice to see him, and I missed him-for the first time. Just then, another ex-boyfriend from years ago (high school) showed up in the dream, and I realized (in my mind) this was a connection telling me, they were one and the same…not to go back. So, even though it did not happen in my awakened life, I did get the message subconsciously. I wanted to share this with other readers.
Just yesterday I was in a hurry to drop my son off at school. I was running a little late. As I was about to pull out of my driveway onto the road along came a car. There was plenty of time for me to pull out in front of this car; however, I had a strong feeling to just wait and let it pass. As I pulled onto the road behind this car I found that this car was going very slow and regretted waiting. As I followed this car I thought about just passing it. However, there were curves in the road and other cars coming that prevented me from passing. A mile furhter down the road, at an intersection, I had another feeling to just wait, do not pass. Right at that moment another vehicle ran the stop sign and pulled into the direct path of the slow moving car in front of me. The slow car had to swerve. Nobody was hurt. If I had been in front of the slow car… or if I had passed the slow car, I would have been hit directly on the driverside of my car. Immediately, instead of getting angry with the car that ran the stop sign, gratitude flooded my being and I thanked God and Spirit for the protection.

Back in Dec. I had casually told a realtor friend that we were possibly thinking of selling, and had no other contact with her for months. Two months ago, we came home one Sunday eve to a phone message from the realtor. Someone was interested in buying our house. As I listened to the recording, I felt tingles all over. I KNEW this was a wake-up call. It was time to put our house on the market. We looked on the MLS for a new home to buy and found the perfect dream home with everything we had ever wanted in a home, everything we had ever casually said that we liked in former homes, or wished we had. It was like the Universe had been manifesting this home for years and it was time to go get it! We managed to sell our home, and the call came through on Friday at 11:11 a.m. that we had a buyer for our home and could close on our dream house. All along the process I kept getting animal totem signs and angelic numbers like 111 and 11:11 to let me know that we were safe, and it was all meant to be! Plus we got in on the home buyer tax credit just in the nick of time, the deadline was Friday. Our Creator and the Universe has perfect timing!
My 5 yr old son carries around a Synchronicity Dolphin and Mermaid card as his “favorite,” which helps remind me to pay attention. I was looking up Freddie Mercury for him after we watched some live concert footage and he had questions. The wikipedia page led me to Gujarati, is an Indo-Aryan language from which his birth name is from (who knew he was Indian?). Which led me to Zoroastrianism, where it says good and evil have distinct sources, with evil (druj) trying to destroy the creation of Mazda (asha), and good trying to sustain it. I had never heard of this religion/philosophy and it really peaked my interest. I was then led to click the link for Zarathustra, an ancient Iranian prophet, philosopher and religious poet. It was all very interesting.
Then the next day I get a friend request from someone ACTUALLY NAMED Zarathustra, someone with whom we share many friends. Turns out he’s a 5th Dimensional Quantum Healer here in L.A. I take some friends to a healing. It’s fantastic, connections are made and so on and so on the synchronicities go…
I have had many, one I kept seeing signs of hearts, and hearing about the heart association, After seeing a doctor, my blood pressure was too high. Another time I started seeing old clips, memories, and reflecting with a friends about Lindsay Wagner and the Bionic woman. Also at Universal studio’s as a kid, I was picked to be Lindsay and jump over an airplane, we were sharing these memories and were invited to her home for a workshop through connections. My best friend resembles Lindsay and I called her Lindsay when we were young. It was so meant for us to be at this wrokshop. Many blessings to you. Tracey

I love your post about synchronicities. I, too, love them. Neale Donald Walsch tells us in Conversations with God, that there are no coincidences in the universe and I do believe that.
I’m going to share with you a link to my blog that tells of a series of synchronicities that I had discussed with friends and family a couple years ago….just rather “blew my mind” so to speak. But they do remind us of the tiny webs that make up the whole of the universe.

I’m glad I was guided to your website, I’ve always noticed synchronicity have lots of it in my life. I’m in a bad cycle (every 6 years) when spirit throws lots of obsticals in my path – each time I loose my home and financial security -mine just sold as I was calling to take it off the market and I lost more than I made in costs.
Somehow weeks later I am on a new mission, only to build up again – that’s when I let the synchronicities guide me to the right place Your post just reminded me that I have always done that – and when I think about it, for the past five or six months there hasn’t been anything – time to pay attention – And do things right this time. Thank you

So, last week a classmate came up to me on our break from class and told me about this movie she had seen the previous weekend. She told me that one of the actresses looked just like me, plus I should watch the movie for other various reasons (many other connections). The movie is called the DreamKeeper, it about a Native American Grandfather and grandson on a journey … as I am also on a journey to get clarity on my Native American heritage … there are many other connections on this aspect alone…(But, I would be writing a small book
!)
Then a couple of hours later, I went to work and I was sharing this story with my boss and she said, “Oh my gosh… for some reason, Stan just loaned me that movie the other day… you need to watch it!” Needless to say there were many messages in the movie, which has provided a true significance in my life.
There are/were several Synchronicities that came along with this one… it has been a blessing…

I’ve got many for years and the more I pay attention to them, the more I have! Every encounter I have now is meaningful because of that awareness. Sometimes I don’t understand the message right away, it’s only with the time that the AHA! moment comes. I have even found many things right there in front of me, on the ground literally! From jalapeño plants right when I needed some, to a brand new set of clippers when I was thinking of getting new ones. Many of the great books I have read have been passed on to me from friends I don’t see much. Every little event is really meaningful.
What a fabulous topic! My experience with synchronicity has been observed numerous times and n many ways throughout my lifetime. I’ve tried to start pay closer attention to them about 10 years ago. One amazing experience that stands out for me occurred a couple of years ago when I was writing out Christmas cards to a friend I met in college who had two children, a boy & a girl and who lived a distance away. I was thinking of the name of her daughter while I was writing and wondered why she had named her daughter Cecelia and not Caroline. Two days later I received a Christmas card with a picture of her new baby daughter on front. The new baby girl she named Caroline. I was totally amazed as I had no idea at the time that my friend was even expecting! Thanks Colette for sharing your gifts & wisdom. Sometimes I feel you are speaking directly to me in your messages! Okay Colette- so WOW….I read this blog on synchronicity yesterday, and started doing what you suggested: logging the synchronistic events of the day. What I cannot believe, is how MANY times I get “Messages from Spirit” per day!!! (And it’s only been a few hours!!!)
First- yesterday I thought about a “thank you” note from my niece, for a shower we had a few weeks ago… and it showed up this morning.
Next I was listening to the radio, and a burning “life question” I was pondering was answered…in the words of a man being interviewed. It was as though he was talking to ME… After that, only moments later, I saw a totally unrelated story about this very same sort of thing on the internet headlines….I then looked at the clock, and it was 12:12 Ha.. I have read is a “mastery number”…I see it, and 11:11 all of the time!!
The next thing that happened was that I wanted to try my Reiki skills, to help many of my friends who have become suddenly very ill, but felt as though I needed to “brush up” those skills…and my confidence…it has been a long time since I learned this.
What shows up almost immediately in my email? A “Reiki Revue” class, taught by my Reiki master.
(The day isn’t nearly over….) I was concerned about how things were going at work today, and in general… only to turn around to see someone had written in big letters on the white board: “Life is GOOD!”
My goodness, Colette….now that I have been actually recording the synchronicities of the day, for only about four hours, I see that Spirit truly IS trying to get my attention, all day long!! I can actually recall moments of synchronicity, so profound, they coould not be ignored…but recording what goes on… well- it is a profound message.
I will continue to record these things, because I get the feeling “someone” is out there saying, “YES! She is FINALLY paying attention!!”

I started following my path at an early age…16. I had a dream that said my lot was to be a mother to an incredibly awesome child who would be an awesome adult, not just to me but to many people, if not the whole world. I believed it. So I made a list on how to pick a Dad for this child. I didn’t want short kids because there is a quiet power when a person has to look up in your face to talk to you. There needed to be pleasant features of the face, and HIGH intelligence. So I looked for these qualities in the men I chose to date. My husband was 6ft 2in, with cousins that were 6ft 5in., his mother was a beauty queen, and he had a BA.
My husband wanted me to work for an aircraft company for the insurance so it would be cheaper to have a baby…but he was very unclear in these intentions. When I finally figured out what his resistance to being parents was, I quit my job and started driving past Rockwell (aircraft company), saying…I’m going to work there…and six months later I was.
At the age of 32, I became pregnant on the First try. Then the work began. I knew what to eat, and when to eat it, to produce the most healthy baby. When the brain was developing, I tripled the amount so I could build a better brain! He was 6 months old when I caught him trying to read. He was 35 pounds on his first birthday…and almost as tall as my waist…and I am 5ft 7in.
He is now 23 and is 6ft 5in. Just recently, he opened his own business. He is my favorite person on this planet. We encourage each other to be better people and keep each other in check. We treat each other with respect and say “I love you” all the time. We are each others biggest fan. As a mother (he calls me Momma), I couldn’t be prouder. He is kind and generous and thoughtful. And full of gratitude.
I have MANY stories about how hard he was to raise, how smart he is (he was reading at a college level with nearly 100 percent retention in 4th grade), and very willful. His philosophy was (and still is)…He can do whatever he wants to and not get in trouble…a story about a note in pre-school!
All this being said…I asked, on this path, to be shown the next right action, and to have the eyes to see it. That is my prayer most everyday.
Sometimes, I have a hard time being patient. I forget Universe is not on my time. I try hard not to push my life around, but to follow “it’s” lead. So I just keep moving, and removing obstacles…fishermen who are not out to sea repair their nets. I say yes to what the day offers, and pray for the highest good for all concerned. Oh…and I took a leap of faith into whatever my website takes me (www.BigGreenAcres.com). I feel like Rocky the Squirrel, soaring through the clouds. I am either going to fly or crash and burn. “I would rather burn out than to fade away!” (from the movie “Highlander”).

Thanks for this post. I always find that I have the most synchronicities when I am most in alignment with Spirit – creativity is flowing, etc. Perhaps being in alignment just makes my eyes more open to see them.
I’ve documented many of the synchronicities I’ve seen when I’ve asked a specific question. The synchronicities have been such great answers.
Since I’m feeling a little out of whack, this week, I will focus on “keeping my eyes open”.

I just started participating in an Angel Communication class (sorry, we use the Doreen Virtue cards). Over the past fourteen days, I’ve pulled the Goddess card randomly – or it jumped out into my lap while shuffling the deck – and the Earth Angel card.

Most of my synchronicities are also with numbers.
Yesterday I was looking for an address for one of my clients/respondents and didn’t know where to park. Prior to this, I saw the triple 4’s on my clock; I then giggled and said to myself “oh no”!, “something is gonna happen that is no good”! Meaning emotional drama is going to arise either in me, someone or the client. A few minutes later as I was getting ready to turned around the car to figure where to park or pull over; I noticed I was getting really frustrated and getting mad. At that instant I stopped quickly, and thought aha! this is what was going to occur! So I stopped right there, took a breather, calm myself down and found parking. I went along my merry way and got the case done in no time; after that my day went smoothly. The numbers are my little helpers in that they assist me with my self-awareness and so such. I feel so blessed when I think and see the triple digits.
