Practical Magic!

Practical Magic – 3 super simple strategies to Log on to Spirit to Co-Create Your Intentions!

Two weeks into the New Year and I hope you’re excited and hopeful about your life! If you let yourself get quiet, really quiet, and turn off that pushy aggressive din on the news and ignore those “ folks in the know” on social media ( that are only serving to stir up a pot of fear soup) something amazing happens.

Get quiet and tune in and I know you’ll hear and feel the Force is buzzing with electricity waiting for you to Light up your world and choose your highest good.

If you’re reading this you must feel that you’re intrinsically connecting always to all of Life, and that when synchronicity happens you’re reminded that Bigger Plans are in motion. You feel the Unity of things in spite of the separation that you’re conditioned to believe and see.

Once awakened to that truth that Spirit is everywhere, loves you and creates through you, you can never really go back to sleep again, even when the small self is determined to be the only player competing, manipulating, chasing, cajoling, and trying very very hard to win in the game of life. ( sigh… pesky li’l thing!) Does that sound about right?

I don’t know about you but some days I get a little frustrated with these human limitations of mine. Once you get a taste of the magic of Spirit, of the Force, you want some more right? I mean a glimpse feels like such a big teaser. I’m a personal fan of longer lasting wow-factor spiritual awakenings, epiphanies and tangible evidence that Spirit is interested and chatty (but then I also don’t have an off switch when it comes to chocolate either, and then there is Fred.)

But you know what I mean every glimpse makes you want to learn how to get in sync more often!

Yes some days a hawk is just a hawk but when the biggest one you’ve ever seen sits in a tree staring into your window just when you’ve been asking for a sign of communication from Spirit ( um Hawk means a sign of communication from Spirit), one should at the very least know what it all means!

Yet, without some training and knowing how to plug in, spiritual experiences are like chasing fireflies. “OOO there’s another one! “No that one! There it is! Oh there’s another one ooooo look over there! Maybe that was nothing … SSSNNNOOOORE ”

A little more consistency is much much more powerful.

Enter a lesson in Practical Magic.

Magic? You say? YEP the universe is magic, God is magic, Spirit, the Dude, The Great I AM, angels, the Ascended Masters, The Akasha, Atman, Divine Matrix, Nature and Fred- all magic.
And we need to know that magic intimately now more than ever!

You see if you just look at the world and perceive it from the limitations of your five senses and intellect, only seeing material reality as your primary reality there’s only the mundane and separation to show you what you’re living in. There is no magic, no spirit and no room for miracles.

But if you log on to Spirit every day eventually you start to recognize your inherent magic and you begin to automatically partner with the magic that is already in the universe!

So here are 3 super simple strategies to ensure you’re logged on to Spirit, plugged into the Divine and aligned with Magic.

One. Meditate on Gratitude. That can’t be more simple! Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You and keep going for 10 minutes, eyes closed, favorite music ( not heavy metal) Hand on your heart. BAM. How do you feel? Bet the world is way more colorful now.

Two. Meditate on Gratitude. Here we go again. Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You. ( insert favorite Spirit word- Spirit/ Magic/God etc.) Hand on heart smile on face. BAM. feeling a little more magic?

Three. Meditate on Gratitude. One more time! Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You. ( insert favorite Spirit word- God,Spirit, Fred etc.) Hand on heart, smile on face. Then say I believe I believe I believe. And imagine how you would feel if your intentions had come to pass. Feel that. Then Thank You Thank you Thank You… until you feel calm and happy. BAM. watch for the miracles, signs from Spirit, oracles that make so much sense your hair stands up.

Now we’re talking!

There you go. Magic. It’s everywhere.

It really is that simple. Everything is on time, and will appear at the right time.
Funny example, it was a very bad weather day last week, and my colleague asked if I wanted a lift. I said I needed to make a stop en route home as I didn’t have any bananas. She slipped into the office and returned with one in her hand, then offered the gift which I accepted with gratitude. A small gesture of kindness goes a long way, whether in business, personal matters, or any interaction.

    2. While travelling on the bus I discovered a cheque on the seat next to mine. It was dated for that day, and was made to cash. The sum $375.00. The name and address/telephone # of the person was on the front. I took the cheque and called her as soon as I arrived home. She had no idea it had fallen from her handbag, and kept repeating OH MY G-D/ somewhat in shock that she had dropped it. She was so appreciative that it hadn’t been cashed. I assured her it was in a safe place and she asked me to tear it into tiny pieces. We then both exchanged stories about having lost something important and not having the honest outcome occur. It made me even more aware of how important being in tune is and that how we treat both ourselves and others has a huge impact on the quality of life, and includes kindness, decency and GRATITUDE. We all matter and are equally important. So on that note. When I re-mind myself that I am never alone, and my needs are taken care of, even bananas!!!! I can relax more and trust that it is all on time.
(P.S.) Colette you look stunning in that dress?? the color, and fabric are so complimentary.
Needless to say, as I venture into the NEW year, I am immensely grateful for a new job, colleagues, and a sense of peace, wonder and appreciation how it all came together.

Thank you! Such a noble, magnanimous and kind initiative sharing what you have practiced and gained through years of your valuable experience with the rest of us. Sensing the Spirit connection and then losing it because we feel trapped in our own little spheres called “life” is frustrating, daunting. Gratitude–the smartest, most elevating emotion to feel the Spirit and stay connected with it. Hope to one day have a hotline to the Spirit for my own sake and for all of us connected by the single subtle thread–divinity in our humanity.

    Dear Colette
    I. Love. This. Gratitude is the fertilizer of the soil, of that which is growing and shall grow. I can’t think of a more apt meditation today.
I chuckled when I read your example of the hawk…I saw picking my Mom up on New Years’ day to come to the cottage and as we crossed the Ottawa River we both saw an ENORMOUS Bald Eagle right in a treee alongside the bridge. I almost drove off the road. I’ve never seen that sight in Ottawa, and certainly never that close up anywhere. If Mom hadn’t seen it too I’d have thoguth I was imagining it.
My internal reaction was OMG, thank you! Thank YOU, for providing a dialogue about gratitude and for maintaining a space of gratitude, keeping us always focused on the gifts and the pure magic which Spirit constantly provides if we ask and look. Bless you, and thank you, thank you,Thank You. ♥

Thank you so much for your inspirational blog post.

I had nooooo idea how difficult it would become for me to practice gratitude as I’ve gotten older. My mind knows there is plenty to be grateful for, but often (especially over the past several years) my emotions overwhelm me and, well…there goes my “attitude of gratitude.”. I have a sneaking suspicion that a huge block to not “feeling” able to choose gratitude comes from not “properly” grieving certain experiences in my life – both from my past and currently part of my life. Being currently, “Stuck in the Mud”, and having an oracle reading (from your beautiful cards) confirm this, I’m learning to be patient and “observe” for the time being, so I can be ready to move forward when I’m supposed to do so.

I’m going to try tonight, as part of my nightly prayers before going to sleep, to add the gratitude part back in. I recently added to my night prayers (I do them as I lay in bed, hugging my soft blankie – LOL) all the fears I felt throughout the whole day. For years, I avoided adding them to my prayers and simply prayed for everyone else. (Yeah, I forgot about me, LOL). Well, I can’t tell you how fast I fall to sleep with being honest about things that scare or terrify me. Just being honest about it, giving it over to the Great Spirit, has been awesome. So, I’m sure adding in the gratitude part back in now will help me became more grateful…or at least more aware of how much there is to be grateful for.

Oh, I wanted to add that I also found your following quote REALLY HELPFUL: “If you let yourself get quiet, really quiet, and turn off that pushy aggressive din on the news and ignore those “ folks in the know” on social media ( that are only serving to stir up a pot of fear soup) something amazing happens.”. I recently had to cancel my “updates” with a person whom I admired spiritually but who over the past year and a half has become very engrossed in what’s going on in the world, especially the U.S. While I do admire this person’s passion with both spirituality and politics, I began to become sick inside feeling like I wasn’t being a decent human being if I didn’t follow in their footsteps, etc. Once I stopped beating myself up for not being like this person and being true to my own path, I am slowly beginning to feel better. I also think I was absorbing this person’s fear (which I do understand on some level for sure, but now refuse to take it on). Removing myself from this and other types of social media has really helped me and I’m longing again for the quiet because I NEED the QUIET to help me be a better human being. I’ve always loved silence and solitude. It has given me the strength I’ve needed to be out in the world amongst my fellow human beings. Thank you for the reminder.

    Peace and blessings to all!

Just love your last reading, love them all of course but so many things hit home today. Love the meditation –gratitude, what an awesome way to be silent and make us reflect on everything we have instead of what we want.
I am almost finished reading my book “uncharted”– of course I intend to reread it as many times as necessary to have everything sink in to remember long after.

thank you –thank you and thank you again for everything I have gained through your readings and help with everything. ” Was I meditating?…just kidding” Love you

Speaking of Hawks……………….I’ve always assimilated them with my Guardian angel. They are always near me. And sometimes the message recieved is only the most important thing to remember — it is that of love. I stumbled upon the name of the Guardian Angel assigned to my birthday. His name Hakamiel — a cherubim —- when translated the name is Hawk–I was not surprised. I found that info in the morning and to make sure I made the connection, the sky lines were more heavily peppered with Red Tales than usual.

Where there is Love there is gratitude found. When you are aware of the gift, Thank You just pours out of the soul! Watch for the big gifts that lie in the whispers. Blessed by the dancers here.

I made the weekly lecture with Wisdon of Avalon, and Hawk came as first card. And together came the Swan. I didn’t see at first glance, but the two cards were pasted together. Then came the Love marker, and for the weekend The Merlin and The Mystery together (not pasted: two cards). However, this night I had a call from The Enchanted Map, and the cards made my Goblin a little upset… they were Slow and Steady (and that’s ok, only a bit frustrating), Dry Desert in Protected Position! (and that’s not ok) and the Card my Goblin hates the most: Cleaning House !!^_^ So, if this is Magic (and I believe it is), it s a new demonstration that Monkeys have sense of humor (and they don’t like Goblins). Blessings of Light

I have a question about setting intentions, can you set more than one or do you have to set them one at a time, which is better; saying I want to get healthy or saying I will be healthy. I know what you think becomes what you. And what you say becomes what you do, so I want to make sure I’m doing it the right way. Please help. Thank You so very much for All that you do.

I love your writing, Collette! It really speaks to me. So uplifting, so inspirational! I follow your weekly oracle forecasts, and I attend as many free webinars that you give! You are so good at reminding us to keep a regular practice in order to maintain balance between the physical, one-dimensional self and the multidimensional spirit that we are. I do oracle readings with your Map and Wisdom cards for myself at least once a week, and on the weeks that my stress level starts to get overloaded, I do them more often. They really take me out of my head chatter, into more important things to concentrate on. Balance is so important these days (well, always, for that matter). Self care is not only important, it is like breathing… essential… so that I can be at my best to help others. I am almost finished your book, Uncharted. And I will be reading it a second time, and I may even do some idea mapping on it so I can visualize the different realms. I’ve seen that there are some people that have done this as well. Awesome! I am slowly moving forward with my intuitive readings for people and for homes (17 years now, doing readings), and I am working on some updated business cards. Small steps are working! And the shift is gradual. I love my life! Oh, and I am starting to use your oracle cards in my readings for people as well. If you only knew the positive impact that you have had on my life… there are no words. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Its easy to pick out life’s challenges and because they usually need action, we focus on them, we have a job to do, something to fix, while the miracles, big and small sail by with barely a nod. I DO get it my dear Colette. I am grateful for all that pleases me and one of the many lessons I learned from you is to be equally or even more grateful for the things that do not please me. I am eternally grateful for the trials, tribulations and glitches that teach me.

    Thank you and big hug.

Hi Colette…I read your Oct. 3 blog about the salmon spawning and how swimming against the current of life is necessary for us to be authentic, and then, before I could comment. my life seemed to fly out of control and take a different turn, in addition to my ongoing health challenges! I have been able to watch the oracle card readings each week, and read “Uncharted,” but am just now catching up on reading your blog – and I love the pictures of you with the fall colours and the snow scenes. 🙂
2016 was an interesting year and ended with me participating in the Woman Unleashed Online Retreat (http://www.theradiantmama.com/) that I found out about in a weird synchronicity, which not only resulted in some great healing, but also lead to me seeing myself in a new way which totally changed how I entered 2017 and what I believe I am capable of manifesting in my life as I realize the “map” I’ve been using to live my life no longer reflects what my life seems to be unfolding…whereas I thought there was only path for my life, suddenly there are multiple paths in front of me to choose and explore as I coddiwomple. (LOVE that word!) 🙂 And I discovered that I am no longer a woman who doesn’t/can’t draw or paint when I finished my very first painting this morning!
Thank you again for sharing your light and wisdom with us all.

Thank you, Thank you, thank you, Thank you, thank you! Smile on face, hand on heart, thank you Oracle of mystics and magic! Thank you!! Yep, feels right!!
I’m in a Master Program at Naropa University in Ecopsychology. I learned to not say “I believe” any more. Instead, “I have Faith”. To believe in something means that you either have proof or am awaiting proof before you commit. To have faith in something, aaaahhhh, now that’s a different spirit animal on the totem of life. No proof required for it is “magic”. I absolutely love that!! It has become my new “belief” system…I have faith in the magic.
Thank you for being our Mystic and sharing your magic!
    Bowing in Gratitude,
