Look for the “Good Eggs” in Life!!

Updated: April 22, 2019

This calendar week has always been special to me and to my family. The Easter holiday was always the herald of a new beginning and that something sacred and beautiful was shared in my home. It was a time for peace, reconciliation, and one where everything felt like we were all getting a second chance. I don’t have one bad memory of this time of year (unlike Christmas, which took me years to heal my inner Scrooge and fear of holiday crazy).

And, to top it off, I was raised to celebrate 2 Easters in a row! These were the western Christian holiday, as we were raised as Anglicans, and then another one the next weekend as my Dad celebrated the Serbian Orthodox traditions, which followed a different calendar.

And, although these are supposed to be religious holidays, we were also all painting eggs and hunting for chocolate from the Easter Bunny!!

So this year Easter came late since it is always held the Sunday after the full moon that followed the March equinox. And since the full moon happened literally right after the equinox- here we are!

When I think about this week’s general reading it does remind me of the ambition I had to find those eggs- my mom er- the Easter Bunny hid for me all around the house. I had this colorful wicker basket and my parents would yell  “hot, warm, getting warmer, etc.” when my sister and I would get close to the hiding spots.

I had so much fun with my parents who continued this tradition into our teens! No matter what was happening, whatever bickering or disagreements we had, we all agreed that all that would be up for healing. Then we’d sit around our large dining table with colorful art markers and create these marvelous paintings on hollow eggs that we blew out, then used for omelets later.

We were taught to look for only the good, only the peaceful, only the joy and the beauty offered to us. All my life I’ve seen this time of year the same way. The archetypal energies of this week’s universal energy reading ask us all to seek out peace, goodness, and to focus on finding the best in others and choose to communicate these very aspects to the world.

It’s not always easy, especially online when so many people use this medium to try to hurt others. But if you look past this, you will find extraordinary beauty if you’re willing to hunt for it. There are symbolic Easter eggs everywhere.

This week- look for the good, look for the sacred, be the one who makes peace and who loves without conditions. Can you give someone a second chance and repair what needs healing? Start within. That’s where all the power is anyway. You and Spirit.

This world needs more peace, more caring, and we are the ones we’ve been waiting for.

Dear Colette .. Thank you for the perfect reminder “look for the good eggs” !!! .. It is important to hear (read) this again !! .. I was surfing on youtube last night, I realized that any egg can make videos and say sh*t .. it becomes so important to bypass the rotten eggs. May your week be filled with happy and kind eggs.
Big, BIG Love from me to you.

Thank You for sharing this story. I was sharing with my Husband yesterday, that so many people miss out on the opportunity to share, release and be reborn. Many get so caught up in the despair and commercialism, they miss out on the greatest joys. Love

    Hi, Colette,

The Lakota goddess White Buffalo Woman keeps coming to me whether it’s from your online readings or when I choose the three cards from your website. I have had her come into in my life many times and I’m wondering what she is trying to tell me about my life right now.

The last time she was very much present was when I was living in Tucson and had interactions with the Navajo and Pueblo peoples. It ended in tragedy for someone else and I am nervous that she is warning me of another one. I did what I knew I had to do back then, but the people that I had to speak to did not and they had the tragedy occur in their lives.

I am trying desperately to sell my property in the NE and relocate to S. Cal where my best friend from high school lives and who has offered to put me up until I can find a place of my own. As you know, it’s very expensive there and I do not have that kind of money. But I need to be in a warm not humid environment for health issues.

I am also going to ASU online for a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and just finishing up my sophomore courses and beginning my junior year this next month. On top of that, I am turning 72 on May 4th. Whew!!

Perfect response to the negativism that is so rampant. We can’t change them, can we? All we can do is look for the beauty and life and love in our world. Thanks for the reminder!

I Loved This !!! What a BEAUTIFUL way to voice Spring !!! It’s always been my favorite too (other than Halloween-that Rules!!!)
I don’t know why but I absolutely loved going to church on Palm Sunday & getting that palm frond & then the next week skipping down the street w/ my new dress, hat, coat, gloves & lace ankle socks on…happy, happy, happy 🐣🐰🐣…the egg hunt & basket & then came May Day & we dressed up at school & did the May Pole Dance w/ beautiful ribbons around the May Pole & we made beautiful baskets out of berry boxes & coffee cans covered w/ woven paper mach’e & all sorts of hand made flowers (we rec’d them too…from my Aunt Jubee…that was a family friend) & we filled them w/ a real African violet or lily of the valley, homemade chocolate & peanut butter fudge, cookies, wrigleys gum, etc. then walk to the persons house, rang the doorbell & run…and watch the look on their face from the bushes… it was a sweet time in life…
…and it was also almost my birthday & if I were truly lucky school would be OUT for holiday. The air smelt sweet, your eyes almost burnt w/ all the beautiful colors bursting fourth….
It was so lovely to see you, again & meet John (what a character).

Lovely, thank you for sharing, Colette,

We seem to have a parallel childhood as we too celebrate the Ukrainian Orthodox Easter (next week), following the Julian calendar (woo hoo, two Christmases and two Easters [most years] how delightful). The wonderful patience in painting the eggs with layers vegetable dyes and placing wax over the eggs with my Mum taught me how to uncover the beauty of life through taking inspired creative action: while the entire design did not initially reveal itself, with patience and creativity, the beautiful intricacy manifested. Thank you again for evoking these fond memories. The magical vibrations of today’s Lyrids meteor showers combined with your blog have motivated me to play with my creative side today: I guess that means I have to boil some beets?!? 🙂 Or maybe I will just see where the day takes my family and me… much love.

    Hi Colette,
I always enjoy your readings and love your new Goddess Cards.
My focus is to bring my best self forward, grow and provide my special gifts to make a better world. Yeah, it scares the bajesus out of me but I am moving forward in faith in myself and the universe. Now on to your website to pull my cards!
    Thank you!

    Dear Colette,
I am always in awe of how relevant your weekly card reading is to what’s going on in my life and this week is no exception…I don’t even need to pull my own cards to get it. Ambition-Reverence-Wisdom-Communication, indeed! After literally years (gulp) of putting a specific sacred meditation-yogic practice on hold, now that an intense long-term project is complete, I decided to commit once again to this practice and began again just yesterday (Sunday). Along with that, I also decided to try to channel the Council of Light for the first time with specific questions and found I was able to hear them clearly and easily.
Happy Easter and thank you for all the light you share with us every week!

Just want to thank you for all you share. I accidentally came across a negative youtube video and listened to 15 minutes of it, and could feel such a difference from the feeling of your videos. It felt so “low vibration” in criticism, and I contrasted that with your videos. I can honestly say that EVERYTHING of yours that I have read/watched/listened to has left me feeling uplifted, and that is the measurement I use in order to decide whether to continue following/listening to a person or website. Thank you for being an example of what you’re suggesting, to keep ourselves in a place of love and peace no matter what is happening around us, even if it is an attack or criticism of us. It makes your example all the more powerful because you live it, you don’t just teach it.
