Full Moon Energy!

Between a partial lunar eclipse, a Full Moon in Capricorn, and Mercury having turned retrograde, this is a week full of profound and powerful energy! (And it’s my birthday this week too, yay!!)

Last week we talked about the importance of forgiveness, and now that we’ve had a week to practice forgiving ourselves and others, it’s the perfect time to do some personal inventory and take a deeper look at some of the ancestral patterns that may still be plaguing us. This is a week where we need to look to the past and see what we can clean up, whether that’s negative thoughts, feelings, or behaviors. Then, from that clean space, we can make ourselves ready to create our intentions for how we want to move forward in the New Moon cycle in a couple of weeks. 

In the Weekly Oracle Card Guidance and Lesson, I pulled a couple of extra cards from my Enchanted Map deck that reminded us about the value of setting intentions. When we have a deliberate intention, we can discover anything can be made manifest in the outer world to reflect that intention.

Intention isn’t something you do, but rather a force behind everything in the Universe; it’s what makes an acorn a tree, causes the sun to rise, and gives us life. Intention is part of what I call the All That Is, the vast web of energy that flows through our Universe. That energy is always by nature creating and when you choose to harness it through your attention you will find that you can step out of chaos and into divine order. When you align yourself with that source—that intention—you tap into the profound power of the Universe. With intention, you also connect with your intuition and Spirit’s guidance for your highest good. In other words, with pure intentions, you step onto your highest path.

The most powerful intentions are grounded in your greatest values and purest desires. Many of us have been taught to treat intentions like goals and thus “intend” for a new car, more money, and so on and there is value in that. But, ultimately, the most powerful intentions are based on how you want to feel and an understanding of what matters most to you, such as love, kindness, reverence, and making a difference. You must make a commitment to align your worldly actions with your inner values. 

Remember, intentions are a force behind everything in the Universe. If you want to tap into the power of that force and attract what’s in your highest good, then it’s important to ground your intentions in your deepest values. 

This week, make a list of intentions that reflect your deepest values and desires. Remember to pay attention to underlying emotions and motivations. Create a list of your purest intentions and read it each day. 

Here are a few of my favorite intentions:

• I create my own happiness and nourish my soul.
• I consciously choose thoughts and behaviors that create value and peace.
• I love, value, and respect myself, others, and the world around me.

This week has some big clearing magic, so use this full moon’s supercharged energy to illuminate the patterns you want to release so you can set your intentions for the next cycle early and practice who you want to become. The answers come as you clean house to create clarity so that the Universe can spring into manifestation mode after the eclipse and the full moon phase is over. And then, the Full Moon on Tuesday will be profound!
