Embracing Change with Intention!

Updated: June 22, 2020

As we move towards the end of June, there is so much going on in our hearts, our minds, our world, and the heavens. Yes, Mercury is in retrograde, but that’s not all! This week we’ve also experienced a solar eclipse, a new moon, and the summer solstice… on top of everything that’s been happening in our day-to-day lives. So if you’re feeling a bit… unsettled… that’s natural! It’s all part of the divine chaos that has entered our global consciousness and the beginning of the Aquarian age.

It feels abrupt because it is. This is a full-on paradigm shift, and although it’s been coming for a while it feels like a giant whomp on our collective and individual noggins. We’re going through momentous change, internally and externally, and it’s critical to give ourselves space and time to adapt. There is still more awesome change to come, and we need to allow ourselves recovery time so we’re ready to do our part whatever that may be.

I see a huge opportunity in front of us. Yes, it can seem daunting.  Yes, it can seem overwhelming. But this is what is in front of us, today. We’re all being invited at this time in human history to address things that challenge us to our core like the fall out from how we handle the global pandemic, what to do and how to change systemic racism. On top of this we have seismic shifts in the economic system and the health care system and the education system, all the things that have been revealed as not working as well as we need them to.

Do you ever feel like there is no soft space to land?

Some days it feels there just is no space- outside or even inside.

Only gratitude for the teeniest aspect of life saves me. A bird chirping outside my window reminds me of the Consciousness in all things.

Remember: You’re here for a purpose. None of this is an accident. We are here together at this time to transform together. We are here to make a difference in this crazy world! So how do we do that?

The first thing we need to do is to be intentional. The thing about intentionality is that we don’t always know what the impact of our actions will be. We can have the best intentions in the world, and we can still mess up. But it’s better to take a step and fall, then not to take a step at all (remember that — it rhymes!)!

Sometimes we take a step with good intentions, but we see we’ve landed in a big puddle of muck. That’s a gift, an opportunity to change, to shift, and to try again. And, it’s gonna happen. Nothing will be solved overnight, and as much as we want to see the healing, sooner than later, it can’t be forced.

My coach, Ruth King, reminds me of this over and over. She says, “the point is to keep doing it and not worry whether it’s perfect or not. As long as we’re doing it, we keep moving forward.”

We also have to learn to not take everything so personally. It’s not really about “me,” it’s about “WE.” We are doing this work together, and together we will make a difference. It’s not about the individual, it’s about all of us, together.

Every human on this planet is feeling uncomfortable right now, and that discomfort can be a sign of growth. All this discomfort and pain… what if it’s one big giant growth spurt for humankind? How hopeful would that be, to remember that on the other side of this pain and discomfort is growth?

And, along the way…remembering to remain in 24 hours, staying present to the Now is a potent kind of medicine and we can spend a moment of silence watching and experiencing the beauty of a tiny chirping bird just learning to fly, and remember the divinity in all things.

My Medicine Woman Mom Wambli Wasu Winyan Hail Eagle 🦅 Woman prepared me for this day. She taught me the Ojibwe Prophecy of the 8th Fire 🔥 Prophecy where it is a Crossroads Prophecy of only 2 paths. One path leads to Destruction. The other Path Leads to Eternal Life & Prosperity lead by the Native Americans & in particular the Native American Women!

Beautifully said! We are having growing pains! I heard someone say last week, we just need to relax and be patient, everything will go back to normal soon.” In which I responded, “I hope not. I hope things change to make the world a more respectful place.” What’s normal for some is quite painful for others. I appreciate your deep insights into the collective consciousness, It motivates me to speak up more, with grace and love, when I hear unkind or ignorant comments. It’s also motivated me to do personal education and reflecting on how to make a positive difference with my life choices.

Hi Colette! What a wonderful blog message as it is where we are! Last week your reading was spot on as usual so I knew Monday -yikes! Well, we had a death in the family midweek making us face the “goblins” never dealt with-my son went out the first night bars opened and is now quarantined in the shed (officelike)-you could say his “Dragon’s Lair” so funny you have to laugh or cry! Much better week this time as I picked #1 and do feel “Poised” and “Regenerated” with my “Community” already this am before hearing this as I called my trash company about changes they recently made that I wanted to make sure wasn’t race-driven. Now knowing my Leo card is “Take A Nap” I guess I’m done and I really do need to spend time “Mending”-my Libra ascending. Last week Leo was “Strength” and I fell back on that over and over. Thank you Colette for the energy guidance as I do live by it-but I know you are right after many years. Can’t wait for the new deck!!!! Love the studio.

A great message to the global consciousness, Rome was not built in one day 🙂 Thank you Colette! At times it feels as though things must change right now, and other times, when will this darn change take place. The uncertainty and certainty, the known and unknown, the duality and oneness all in one time. Huge, difficult and awesomely exquisite. There is a bright light on the horizon, and it’s name is change <3

Thank you Colette, for shedding light on the present state of affairs. It is hard to fathom that it has been three months since the tidal wave called Covid, hit us. Still causing so much destruction in its wake. The good news there is a new energy emerging from the devastation. It is a painfully slow process to begin to restructure, the systems that haven’t served the health and well-being for the greatest good for too long. Crisis a call to recreate. Consider new ways of approaching filling a need. Just think about how curbside pick-up has shifted life and has improved it in many ways. Now a more efficient way to deliver the goods in whatever form they happen to be. I had a concern for those people who were saying from the beginning of this transformational opportunity. I can hardly wait for this to be “over “. Maybe the truth to consider, how long the systems were operating at a capacity far less than ideal, healthy or safe in the first place ? It is a disgrace to learn about the long term ” care”? facilities and how they have been managed. Schools are now rebuilding their curriculum and how they deliver the information to the students. Any growth process is a work in progress. There is no magic wand or genie to put humpty dumpty back together again. I do believe there is joy, hope and potential for everything and everyone who is willing to participate. This collective breakdown can become a collaborative breakthrough with the cooperation of everyone. WE includes everyone. We are not alone. We are ALL ONE.

So, a big part of what soothes me is music.
    Aaaand, I just received Magdelene’s Garden and I Am/Grace… Sheee-eeesh… I don’t know what I was expecting, but apparently it wasn’t this?!?!
Craaazzy beautiful totally exposed music. I just LOVE it.
Along with this, Sound if the Sun meditation warms my very soul no matter what hard stuff or turmoil we’re swimming in, the notes in this meditation – especially those couple runs (is that the right word?) at the end – hauntingly call me home.
Here’s a question – back to IAm/Grace – is there guitar tablature, sheet music or chord diagram for Beauty in Hard Places?
Wow… Thank you, always…for this latest “tool” that really provides comfort in these wacked out times …
