About now is when I start shopping for Christmas gifts, and since I’ve always loved Oprah’s Favorite Things, I thought I’d share some of mine for this time of year.
Okay, so mine may not all be “things” per se, but everything on this list is something I’ve loved, done, read, or watched, and maybe it will inspire you too.
Host Your Own Art of Manifesting Parties
My dear friend Kristin, who lives in L.A. (and is always an amazing cheerleader of mine), got a bunch of my Art of Manifesting books and went a couple of parties. She handed them out and spent time with her friends doodling their most cherished intentions for their lives, feeling grateful in advance, and sharing meaningful time and conversation together.
Sounds awesome and fun, right?
Well, here’s what’s even COOLER!
They drew on botanical paper! I had never heard of it, but the paper is made with wildflower seeds. After you draw your manifesting lines and circles, you PLANT THE PAPER in the ground or in a pot, and the flowers grow!

Talk to strangers
I make a point of chatting with someone new every day and genuinely asking them how they are. Wow, you can see how much we all have in common and how just one caring conversation can mean so much to someone’s day. This costs nothing!
Although if you are in a line at a coffee shop, and you can afford it, pick up the tab for the next person in line. You’ll feel great, and they might just remember that little miracles can and do happen, even little ones.
Give out Angel Pins
My amazing PR person Beth does this in NYC, and everyone lights up when she does. People immediately open up, share meaningful stories, and express so much gratitude. I saw her do it and it’s beautiful to witness!
Handwrite a Note
Ok, notice so many of these are all about connecting? Why not handwrite a note to the people in your life that have meant something to you, to your friends that are dear and maybe to people from your past who encouraged you? Snail mail it with no expectations for anything in return.
Volunteer Your Time
Donations are important and wonderful, but I think showing up for someone in need and offering your presence, compassion, and care can be even more valuable.
My Hair Secrets
People ask me ALL the time how my hair is always so healthy, thick, shiny, etc. I use only one product line.
My friend Jen Aniston started this hair care line, LolaVie, years ago and sent me some samples and I was hooked. I love the smell and I use ALL the products, and my favorite is this detangling spray since my hair is so thick and fine it’s so hard to comb out after washing.
(P.S. I don’t get a penny to promote this, I just genuinely love it!) Find it here.
My Favorite Cozy Scents

I am very particular about smells. If you love woodsy smells in the winter like me, well I have been looking for a scented candle that doesn’t give me a headache.
I found two candles this year that are a bit of a splurge, but worth it: Jo Malone’s Oud and Bergamot and Dyptique’s Feu de Bois.
Read a Romantacy Novel

None of these are remotely spiritual, transformative or helpful in anyway other than a great escape. Ya go ahead be shocked, but I love this stuff (even if I skip past the uber spicy scenes which kinda bore me).
My Favorite escape books this year were the Wolf King, The Night Prince, and Quicksilver! I loved the audio books too. These are fun to give as a gift if your friend is into this genre.
(P.S. I’m still working on writing my Romantasy trilogy 10 years later, so stay tuned!)
Give the Gift of Oracle Cards

Last but not least, the best gift to give ever is a deck of Oracle Cards!
I get so many gratitude emails in the new year about The Spirit Animal Oracle, The Goddess Power Oracle, and Wisdom of the Oracle from new Oracle enthusiasts.
Pick an Oracle Deck that looks like it would be a good energetic match for a friend or loved one, and spend some time together pulling cards. And remember the mini pocket sized Oracle Decks are the perfect stocking stuffers!
Happy holiday season. I’m so grateful to you for reading this. May you be blessed with love, grace and abundance in this meaningful time of the year.
Love,
Colette
