The Courage to Be Seen
The last two weeks have been a blur of beauty and challenge.
I’ve been noticing how much I’ve changed.
How little I care about gossip or drama.
How obvious it is now how much fear I’ve had to move through in order to claim a part of myself that has long been calling me to choose, to hear, to release, and to express.
I don’t know about you, but I have never ever had the experience of life behaving so I can be guaranteed a soft place to land when I take a risk to claim what is really true for me.
Most often, it’s me holding my nose and jumping into the void hoping I make it in one piece, while wondering if this time I had really lost my marbles. (Stay tuned for amazing evidence of this giant risk and latest jump back into music recording with the Koren Brothers. There will be LOTS to tell you about soon!)
This and That being true, I know so much is happening in our world.
For me, it’s been a mix of stirred up emotions, perceptions, and perspectives that have been scary and overwhelming, shocking and exhilarating, enraging and sobering, and yet also gathering, reflecting, recommitting, and landing, finally, in hope and love.
Yup… humanity is so many things.
The Shadow is dancing now, shapeshifting, but so is true strength, clear sight, sovereignty, and courage.
We get to choose once we know how to name things as they are and not as we want them to be.
And maybe that’s why this Mercury retrograde in Pisces feels so potent to me. These retrogrades are about reflection. Completion. Revisiting the places we thought we’d already mastered.
Like, I thought I was good at receiving…
Then a dear friend invited me to what I believed was a workshop for her friends around my new book. Instead, it became the most loving, nurturing circle of extraordinary humans who simply wanted to tell me how my Oracle Cards and recent doodle magic have impacted their lives.
They even made me a crown of flowers!

And, of course, I had to ruin it and make a joke “Am I dying?” and in typical CBR fashion it was the NEXT morning I felt it all and sobbed my face off.
It’s still with me this love, this kindness, this notion of connection.
When we gather in reflective, creative, soul-inspired spaces, something amplifies. Our personal experience deepens. We remember we are not alone.
And being seen — truly seen — changes us.
It softens the edges.
It strengthens our sovereignty.
It reminds us that our voice matters.
That’s why I’m planning more ways for us to gather, both in person and online.
Oracle School, enrolling at the end of April this year, will be far more interactive than ever before. After ten years of live calls with a webinar format, now everyone will be able to SEE one another.
There is something sacred about being seen.
It takes courage to be seen.
And it takes courage to witness others with love.
Anyway, I send you so many blessings.
May you nourish yourself well.
May you choose your words and thoughts with love.
May you trust the part of you that knows when it’s time to leap.
Love,
Colette
